Iran has been a world annoyance for years. Do to many of their actions, sanctions were enacted against them years ago. Well, those sanctions are about to expire, and world leaders are working to decide whether or not to extend those sanctions. Iran’s ‘president’, Hassan Rouhani, has done nothing to help the nation of Iran in terms of gaining trust. In fact, Hassan has only made Iran look even more untrustworthy.
Iran is threatening to “react” if sanctions continue past it’s original expiration date, which is the end of this year.
“So far, the current U.S. government has committed several violations with regard to the nuclear agreement,” Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in Tehran, according to Reuters.
“The most recent of them is the 10-year extension of the sanctions. If these sanctions are extended, it will surely constitute a violation of the [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] and they should know that the Islamic Republic will definitely react to it,” he said.
We need president Trump now more than ever. Iran must not be allowed to proceed with it’s nuclear development. President-elect Donald Trump said he will likely scrap the Iran nuclear deal made under the Obama administration. However, we are unable to confirm whether or not Trump will be able to scrap the deal entirely as it involves many nations other than Iran and the United States. At the very least Trump has confirmed the deal, in not able to be scrapped, will be strictly enforced.
